Our chickens starting laying eggs in July and we've been getting at least a dozen a day - thanks girls!! Everyone keeps telling me to sell them but right now I am really enjoying just sharing "mini cartons" with family and friends. I made these super cute little "Pickle Creek" labels to put on them. The Golden Comets give us gorgeous brown eggs and the Americaunas have been doing various shades of blue. We have 18 chickens total. They have developed a great little routine of laying in the mornings, free ranging all afternoon and evening and then finding their way back into the coop each night. The chickens have been a fun little adventure for our family.
Its truly brought me joy to share fresh eggs and flowers this summer!! What a gift to be able to do that for the ones I love!
