About Us

Hello!! I am Lauren and my husband's name is Timothy. We have been married for ten years and have a six year old son, a four year old daughter, and a newborn daughter. Timothy is an avid outdoorsman and loves to spend time outside hunting and fishing. It's been neat to harvest both turkeys and deer off of our land to fill our freezer. I am a homemaker and very thankful for the opportunity to stay at home with our children. I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen, food is one of my love languages as you'll see throughout my posts.  I also really enjoy reading and have been hosting a monthly book club for a little over two years now.

We both grew up playing in the woods and exploring our way down creeks in our wooded, more established neighborhoods. We always knew we wanted to live on land and we hoped to find the perfect piece with a creek running through it for our kids to enjoy.

A few years ago we sold a very large tract of land that we knew we didn't want to lay down roots on and began looking for land to build "our forever home." We were told about a cow farm that had been split into three separate tracts in an area we really wanted to be in. As soon as we saw the rolling hills and the creek running through the woods, we knew we had found our home. I grew up with friends in this area and having such an incredible community "in the country" was very appealing to me. We have multiple families from our church within a mile of us. Many of them live on a beautiful sprawling vineyard which makes for quite the views when leaving or coming home. After we were under contract, we found out the 10 acres directly beside us had been purchased by friends of ours. (Neither of us had any idea) We felt like God was affirming our decision to move to this area and begin building our lives here.

Spending time altogether, especially outdoors, is very important to us. We hope to create an environment that allows our kids to thrive in nature. We are very excited to start the journey of homeschooling our kids in such a special place.

We look forward to sharing more about us and our adventures at Pickle Creek Farm with you all.
