A Princess Party

Our daughter recently turned three and has been talking about a "princess party" for months. She's only ever had family birthday parties so it was fun to invite a few of her girl buddies over to celebrate her.  Everyone wore princess dresses and then we had a little "tea party" where they decorated crowns and wands. I was so impressed with the quality of both of the packets I ordered on Amazon (linked both under the pictures below). I collected little teacups from thrift stores so that way if one broke, it was no big deal. The little girls loved it and it made my heart so happy to watch them all enjoy it.

I made pink lemonade instead of tea and it was quite the hit - lots and lots of refills!! The girls did so good holding their big girl teacups!!

We had our bounce house set up and they floated between that and the trampoline most of the evening.  Then we enjoyed some pizza, fruit & veggies for dinner. My creative mother in law made a "princess veggie spread." It was so neat - I loved it.

My Mom made homemade Sweet Potato Cupcakes that were absolutely divine. We found cute little "prince and princess" cake toppers on Amazon that we used and they turned out so good. She used a recipe by Liv for Cake and I am definitely saving it to make a Sweet Potato Cake in the future.

One of the cutest parts of the party was her brother wanting to "protect" her and the other princesses. He insisted on wearing his king costume so he could protect them. He stayed in character almost the entire party.

It's safe to say our little girl had a special day!! I am so thankful for her precious little life and the joy that she brings our family.
