
This Tomato Basil Soup is a recipe I've been making for at least ten years. It's usually for me and my girlfriends since my husband isn't a Tomato Basil Soup guy. It pairs perfectly with a grilled cheese - especially one with bacon inside it.
Ingredients
- 1 large (28 oz) can of Crushed Tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of shaker parmesan
- 1 cup of heavy cream (or you can sub this with half & half)
- 1/8 cup of Italian seasoning
Directions
- Pour all of the ingredients into a blender, mix
- Transfer to a pot on the stove and warm on low, stirring consistently for about 15 - 20 minutes
*We enjoyed this with a bottle of "Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon" over the weekend and it was delicious together
